Time to finish my smile transformation!

Today, Dr. Byars will remove the temporary and bond the porcelain veneers and crowns into place permanently. A little anesthetic was given to reduce any sensitivity. Dr. Byars bonded one by one each veneer and crown into place.
We spent some time making a few adjustments to make sure my bite was correct. After this adjustment of my bite, everthing felt normal and even to me! My teeth feel so smooth!

I will have to say I am so thrilled with the results! The veneers feel so much more natural in terms of thickness than the veneers I had done 10 years ago. I love the color, length, contour and thickness of my new smile! The photos below show my smile before my case was started and also the finished product!

This photo was taken by Dr. Douglas Walters. Dr. Walters is the periodontist that worked on my case to level out my gum line.

This is my teeth before my smile transformation was started. Notice how the gums are uneven between the left and right side. This makes my teeth look small and short. My old veneers also aslo a rounded shape.

This is a photograph of my new crowns and veneers. You can see how my gum line has been made more even from the left to right side. The teeth appear longer and much more esthetic. The shade difference between the two photos should be pretty obvious. My teeth are much whiter now that my case is complete.

I am so impressed and very happy with Dr. Byars work. He did a fantastic job on my smile transformation!

I am so excited! My veneers have arrived!

I am very excited today. My six veneers and two crowns have arrived from the dental lab. I have been wearing my trial smile (temporary veneers ) for the past couple of weeks. Wearing the temporary veneers has given me a chance to try out the new length and shape of my teeth. Dr. Byars mentioned that while wearing these, this is the time to make any changes with the shape and length. This way he can communicate any changes that I would request to the dental lab before the final porcelain veneers and crowns are fabricated.

I’m thrilled to see how white my veneers are! I chose a shade that is whiter than my natural teeth and my old veneers. Dr. Byars just removed my crowns and veneers from the lab box and here they are!

Check back tomorrow for the final blog post in our series about Amanda's Smile Transformation!
